Quilting fabrics
Most
avid quilters quickly accumulate an abundance of quilting fabrics. And
while these fabrics wait for the right quilting pattern to come along,
the issue of storage must be solved. Quilters typically choose one of
several ways to store their fabrics.
The typical storage for quilts is a closet. Shelving comes in handy
to organize the quilts and for easy access. Many people like to sort
their fabrics by color or by grouping fabrics together for a designated
project. These strategies make it easier to locate a particular fabric
when you are looking for it.
Other options for storing your quilting fabrics include dressers, freestanding
shelving units and modular storage components. These possibilities make
for more organization than just tossing them all into a bin or box and
hoping you can locate the fabric you will inevitably need in a hurry.
Be sure to arrange your quilting fabrics with a system or method that
makes organizational sense to you and will suit your storage needs.
